These little pages always seem so hard to write. So here’s me and my story in a nutshell…

I am:

  • 33 years young
  • living in the Wash, DC metro area
  • work as a government contractor
  • currently serving in the DC Army National Guard
  • married in 2008 to the most wonderful woman in the world
  • in debt, have next to no savings, and not much put into retirement
  • a spender at heart, always wanting the latest gadgets
  • a geek
  • fairly in-shape

I am not:

  • thrifty by nature
  • lazy when I finally set my mind to something
  • a republican nor a democrat
  • religious
  • in bad health

It seems that it’s always easier to say that you need to get out of debt than it is to actually do something about it. I see the need for this to change, especially with the upcoming combining of finances. It’s not really fair for me to continue wallowing in my debts when she has been so much better with her financial stability up to this point in her life. Together I know that we can meet all of our goals and dreams. I hope that you will join us in our financial journey.
